What happens to your audio

Your audio is processed to create live captions and translations. Interpreter does not save audio, captions, or translations.

We built it this way on purpose. If we don't have your data, we can't lose it.

What we do keep

The basics we need to run the service:

Your email (so you can sign in)
How long your sessions last (so we can bill you)
Payment info (handled by our payment provider, not us)
Which pages and buttons you use (sent to PostHog, without any text from your screen)

Medical calls

A lot of our users are medical interpreters. We get it. Interpreter does not save audio, captions, or translations. HIPAA compliant by design.

Cookies

A sign-in cookie keeps you logged in, and in the app PostHog sets a cookie to tell your visits apart. This website uses no analytics or advertising cookies. It counts visits with PostHog in cookieless mode, which stores nothing in your browser.

Download your usage history
Unsubscribe from emails
