What is OPI?

OPI (Over-the-Phone Interpreting): Remote interpretation services delivered via telephone between parties who speak different languages. OPI interpreters typically work for language service agencies, handling medical, legal, government, and business calls.
Two-way translation: Simultaneous translation of both speakers in a bilingual conversation. When enabled, Interpreter displays the original speech on one side and the translation on the other—for both directions. English to Spanish, Spanish to English, at the same time.
Real-time transcription: Speech-to-text conversion with sub-second latency. Words appear on screen almost as they're spoken—fast enough to glance at while actively interpreting. Distinct from post-call transcription services.
Speaker diarization: Automatic identification and labeling of different speakers in a conversation. The system distinguishes between voices and displays them with distinct visual styling, so you always know who said what.
