Trust and security
How Interpreter protects your calls, and how to get the documents your security team needs.
Compliance
What happens on a call
Audio
Streams over an encrypted connection to our speech recognition model, which turns it into captions.
Translation
Caption text goes through our server to our translation provider and straight back to your screen.
After the call
Interpreter does not save audio, captions, or translations.
Analytics
We count which pages and buttons people use, never the words of a call, a lookup or a note.
What we keep
Your account
Your name and email from Google sign-in.
Billing
Your balance and payments. Card details stay with our payment processor.
Call times
When each call starts and ends, for billing and the call tracker.
Settings
Your languages, caption options and glossary terms, so they follow you to every app.
Deleting your account
Removes your account, call times, balance and settings.
How we protect it
Encryption
Everything travels over HTTPS and secure WebSockets. Database connections are encrypted too.
Sign-in
Google sign-in only, so we never see or store a password. Sign-in cookies travel only over HTTPS and scripts can't read them.
Access
Each person can reach only their own account, and every private request needs a valid sign-in.
Short-lived keys
Each call gets its own speech recognition key, and it expires on its own.
Secrets
Keys and credentials for our systems live in a secrets manager, never in our code.
Checks
Every API is rate limited, every request is validated, and payment events are signature checked.
Incidents
We monitor sign-in failures, rate limits and errors, and tell affected customers as the law and our agreements require.
