Before you apply

Search beyond “remote”

Try your language with “telephonic interpreter” (OPI) or “video remote interpreter” (VRI). Then check the posting’s location, hours, and qualifications. Remote roles can still require you to live in a specific state or country. See the remote jobs guide.

Compare the offer

Ask whether you’d be an employee or contractor and what time is paid: scheduled hours, connected minutes, training, or canceled calls. Model the offer in the earnings calculator. If a credential is required, compare certification paths.

Apply at the source

Open the employer’s posting to confirm it is still available before sharing personal details. We check listings daily, but employers can close a role between checks.
